ABOUT OUR OFFICE:   Office Hours:  Our office is open from 8:30am until 5:00pm Monday thru Friday and on Saturdays at 8:30am for sick visits. We are closed only on major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day.) Scheduling Visits: We encourage you to schedule your child’s routine well care at least 4-6 weeks in advance.  When they are infants, it is best to schedule the next well visit each time you are in the office.  Sick visits will be scheduled as the need arises.  Rest assured that if your child is ill and needs an appointment, we will always get you in that same day.  Please call as early as possible if you know your child needs to be seen that day. After Hours:  The doctors are available to you by phone after office hours and encourage you to call with urgent issues.  You can reach us by calling the regular office number and listening to the instructions on the answering machine.  We answer our calls very promptly and encourage you to call again if for some reason you have not heard back from us within 20 minutes.  It is very important for your child’s continuity of medical care that you rely on us after hours.  If you child has a life-threatening illness or injury, then of course you should call 911. Otherwise, if you have concerns, don’t hesitate to call.  We can usually give you advice to get you through the night but if we feel your child needs prompt attention, we will make arrangements for your child to be seen.  We generally will use the Emergency Room at either Howard County General Hospital or Saint Agnes, the hospitals where we have privileges. 
Routine Questions:
We encourage you to bring your list of questions for us when you come to routine appointments, but often questions come up between visits. You may call any time during regular office hours with questions. Many routine questions can be answered by our nurses. If you feel you need to speak immediately with a doctor or nurse please let the receptionist know. Otherwise leave a message with the receptionist and a doctor or nurse will return your call as soon as they are available, always on the same business day.
